This is the Martini that started it all!
I love my Martini and a true dry martini is usually made with gin and garnished with a spear of olives. Variations of the clasic dry martini include garnishing with a lemon twist, cockatil onions (called a Gibson) or substituting vodka for the gin. (a James Bond Favorite!)
Dry Martini Recipe
2 ounces gin
dash dry vermouth
olives, lemon peel or cocktail onions for garnish
Fill a shaker cup with ice. add the vermouth and stir. add gin and stir again. strain into martini glass and garnish.
Note: for a very dry martini drain vermouth from shaker glass before adding gin.
