BBQ Grill Pizza Recipes
Grilled Pizza Recipe1 recipe of Pizza dough seperated and tossed into 4 shells or 4 store bought pizza shells thawed Heat the grill to medium high and brush the grate well with olive oil so the dough doesn't stick. brush the dough well with olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Sauces: Sun dried tomato sauce: Pesto Sauce: Spread a thin layer of either sauce listed above on the pizza dough and top with fresh slices of tomato and fresh mozzerella cheese (I prefer to get fresh mozzerella and slice it for the pizza rather than shred it) top with any of your favorite toppings (fresh is always best for this pizza recipe) and place directly on the grill. If you prefer a lighter crust, you can preheat a pizza stone or layer of brick plates on the grill. cook for 5-10 minutes turning with a metal spatula every few minutes. (be sure to check the bottoms for burning) the tops should not brown much but the crust will crisp well. allow to cool for 2 minutes before slicing and serving.
