Mexican martinis stray from the path of the traditional martini quite a bit. Not only in the fact that mexican martinis use tequila, but in the addition of fruit juices as well.
This particular recipe for a Mexican Martini comes from Trudy's restuarant in Austin Texas.
As always with any alcholic drink, enjoy, but drink responsibly.
Trudy's Mexican Martini Copycat Recipe
2 ounces tequila
1 ounce cointreau orange liquor
1 ounce sprite
1 ounce orange juice
squeze 1/2 lime juice
place all ingredients in martini shaker filled with ice and shake. strain into martini glass rimmed with salt.
(sounds more like a margarita sans the sour mix than a martini!)
